Well that $10 is 100% worth it! It first starts off with an old fort then as you continue on the trail you Make it to Deadman’s Cove. What a wonderful and very beautiful place to go see and just sit down and relax! I highly recommend it if and big if you are able to get down to it. The stairs are like half there the rest is off trail in a sense. But worth it if you can make it down but it does seem from past reviews stairs are a working progress.
As others have said, this place is beautiful and magical. I was going for the lighthouse and this was a nice surprise. There were jellyfish all along the shoreline when I went and didn't go at an optimal time for lighting for photos as the sun was directly in our faces but that didn't stop it from being visually gorgeous. Watch your steps on the way down and you'll be fine. I love that it seems like it's waiting to be found. Absolutely worth the stop to see it. The cost for parking is $10 and gets you to this and the lighthouse.
The trail up to the information center is paved then the trail to the lighthouse is a dirt trail. Well maintained but very steep in some places. We stopped at Deadmans Cove to take some pictures of King Tide. Daily pass is $10 or $30 for an annual pass
A beautiful place after the waves we encountered, this place so serene with less waves compared to the Pacific Ocean. We rested there for a while till the wind got calmer and quickly to the big boat and left the area before the weather got worse. We were unprepared for that quick change in weather.
This pit stop along the way to the lighthouse is absolutely worth the janky and steep steps to get to it. The view from above is stunning, but there is an eerie and magical feeling when you’re down in the cove. Our dog also had a great time sniffing and exploring. Highly recommend!
Wow, what a lovely place! My dog and I had a blast admiring the beauty of this place. The water was cold but felt refreshing, my dog loved swimming and playing fetch in it. The way down was a little steep but doable, just beware of your footing and take it slow. Also remember to pack out what you pack in, let’s keep this place pristine. Hope to come back soon.
Amazing place; well worth the hike down.
At first time map brought us to the military base closed gate, after that we found right way.
Need to pay for parking, all day will cost $10.
The views are breathtaking! Need to see it!
